KYA
KYA is the embodiment of a spirit rising from the mud of the swamp.
She is a symbol of the repressed, the forgotten stories and the potential in the darkness. Her eyes are closed because she does not want to see the outside, but to remember the truth inside. The mushrooms sprouting from his scalp whisper that decay is also birth; that life does not always grow from the brightest place, but from the moistest, deepest place.
The stained glass textures in the background show how internal fractures can become windows that let in light. KYA is a call to reconnect with nature, to re-create oneself in the memory of the earth.
Dimensions are 120 cm in diameter.
